Saqlain Mushtaq is a former Pakistani cricketer who had a successful career as a spin bowler. He made his debut for Pakistan in 1995 and quickly established himself as a key player in the national team. He played international cricket for Pakistan from 1995 to 2004.
One of Saqlain’s greatest achievements is inventing the “doosra,” a delivery in which an off-spin bowler bowls an off break with the same action as a leg spinner. He was the first bowler to master it and was known for his ability to take wickets with it. This delivery made him one of the most successful spin bowlers of his time.
In ODI cricket, he played 169 matches and picked 288 wickets, averaging 24.22. He also played 49 test matches and picked 208 wickets at an average of 28.09. He was known for his ability to take wickets in both ODI and Test cricket.
