Early Life and Education

Zahid was born on September 20, 1984, in Rawalpindi. He completed his schooling at Beaconhouse School before earning his MBA in Marketing from Preston University in 2006. He moved to Karachi to pursue his acting career, while frequently visiting family in Rawalpindi.

Career Before Acting

Before acting, Zahid worked as a training specialist in a telecom company and later as a training and development manager at Nokia. He also worked as a radio jockey, hosting “The Breakfast Show” and “The Rush Hour” on City FM 89, and later hosted the gaming show “The Bumper2Bumper” and worked as a Senior Creative Manager at PTV World.

Family

Career

Zahid made his stage debut in 2006 with a leading role in “It Runs in the Family,” going on to perform in productions including “Bombay Dreams,” “Phantom of the Opera,” and “Run for Your Wife.” He notably portrayed Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Anwar Maqsood’s “Sawa 14 August” (2013) and its sequel “Pawnay 14 August” (2014).

He moved into television with a leading role in the Hum TV soap “Mehram” (2014) as Hamza, and won the Best Actor in a Negative Role award at the 4th Hum Awards for his role as Rameez in “Alvida” (2016), also earning a Best Actor in a Supporting Role nomination the same year for “Sangat.” He received a Best Television Actor nomination at the 16th Lux Style Awards for “Besharam” (2017). His more recent work includes “Altered Skin” (2018), “Ghabrana Nahi Hai” (2022) as Sikandar, and continued roles through 2023 and 2024.
