Exercise benefits everyone’s health, but what is the best time to do it?
It is not easy to determine, but if you want to lose body weight or extra fat, make it a habit to exercise in the morning.
It was revealed in a new medical study.
A study by the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and the University of Copenhagen in Denmark showed that morning exercise activates the metabolism more, which helps burn fat. Research conducted on mice found that morning exercise helped burn excess fat around the abdomen and waist compared to the afternoon or evening. Research has found that exercising in the morning increases the likelihood of weight loss regardless of diet.
The researchers said that physical activity at different times of the day affects the body because our body clock is involved in this regard. According to the researchers, the results indicate that morning exercise is better than evening for burning fat and improving metabolism. He said that proper timing of exercise is essential for body energy balance and health. He added that more research on humans is needed in this regard to confirm the results.
The results of this research were published in the journal PNAS.
Earlier in November 2022, a study from the Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands reported that exercising anytime between noon and midnight reduced the risk of insulin resistance by 25 percent. Insulin resistance occurs when muscle, fat, and liver cells have difficulty responding to insulin, causing blood glucose levels to rise. If blood glucose levels are not controlled, diabetes develops over time. The study reported that physical activity between noon and night reduced the amount of fat in the liver while also reducing insulin resistance. The results of this study were published in the journal Diabetologia.
