Mohammad Amir’s cricket career began when he was discovered by former Pakistani cricketer Mudassar Nazar at a young age. He debuted for the Pakistani national cricket team in 2009 at 17 and quickly established himself as a talented left-arm fast bowler.

In 2010, Amir’s career was derailed when he was involved in a spot-fixing scandal that resulted in a five-year ban from cricket, along with a prison sentence in the United Kingdom.
