Professional Career
- Fakhar made his ODI debut against South Africa on 18th June 2017. He quickly established himself as a key player for Pakistan, playing a crucial role in the 2017 Champions Trophy victory by scoring a century in the final against India. Fakhar was named Player of the Tournament for his performances.
- He made his T20I debut for Pakistan in April 2018 against West Indies, and played a key role in Pakistan’s victories in the 2018 Tri-Nation Series and the 2018 Asia Cup, scoring a century in the Asia Cup final.
- In 2018, Fakhar Zaman became the fastest player to score 1,000 runs in ODIs at the time, breaking the previous record set by Viv Richards. He also became the first Pakistani to score a double century in ODIs, scoring 210 not out against Zimbabwe.
